Summary

A 48-second infrared video, likely from a U.S. Coast Guard platform operating in the southeastern United States in 2024, shows two separate areas of contrast crossing the frame that the sensor is unable to track. The footage was uploaded to a classified network in June 2024.

Detail

This Department of War record, released through the PURSUE declassification, was identified by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) among materials requested by U.S. House members in March 2026. AARO assesses the 48-second clip likely came from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. Coast Guard platform operating in the southeastern United States in 2024. A user uploaded it to a classified network in June 2024.

Early in the clip an area of contrast appears from the upper-right and exits the left of the frame without the sensor tracking it. Later, a second area of contrast enters from the lower-right and leaves the lower-left; the sensor pans left but is unable to track it. The description is provided for information only and reflects no conclusion about the event.
