Summary

An infrared video nearly 11 minutes long, likely from a U.S. military platform in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command region, tracks a centered area of contrast across several captioned and enhanced segments. Uploaded to a classified network in June 2024, the footage was digitally altered and its quality progressively degrades toward the end.

Detail

This Department of War record, released through the PURSUE declassification, was identified by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) among materials requested by U.S. House members in March 2026. AARO assesses the nearly 11-minute clip likely came from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) area of responsibility. A user uploaded it to a classified network in June 2024.

The digitally altered video includes caption screens describing a stabilized, enhanced 8x-speed segment, an original-speed enhanced segment in which the sensor cycles contrast modes, and an original five-minute clip during which the sensor pans to keep the contrast area centered while the footage quality progressively degrades. The description is informational only and reflects no conclusion about the event.
