A 47-second infrared video, likely captured by a U.S. military platform in the U.S. Central Command region in November 2020, shows a contrast area moving across the frame before blending into the background. The clip was digitally altered before its June 2024 upload to a classified network and includes captioned segments replayed with enhancement.
Released through the PURSUE declassification, this Department of War video was identified by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) among records requested by U.S. House members in March 2026. AARO assesses the 47-second clip likely originates from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility in November 2020. A user uploaded it to a classified network in June 2024.
The digitally altered footage opens with a caption reading "zoomed in," then shows an area of contrast moving from left to right before fading against the background. Additional captions describe enhancement and slowed-speed replays, including the labeled original video, in which a contrast area transits the upper frame and moves before losing distinctiveness. AARO notes the description is informational only.
