This PURSUE-declassified record stems from a March 6, 2026 request by eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives for access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified responsive materials on a classified network, many of which lack a substantiated chain of custody.
AARO assessed that this 20-second video, given the uploader-defined title "4 UAP Formation Iran 26 Aug 2022 over water," was likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility in 2022. A user uploaded it to a classified network in June 2024. In the footage, four areas of contrast transit the sensor view from the lower-left, exiting near the bottom center, followed by a fifth area entering from the top-left corner.
